Alfons Pape

Alfons Pape (born June 20, 1885 in Halle (Saale) ; † April 2, 1950 in Hanover ) was a German actor , theater director and theater director .

Life

Alfons Pape, who was born in Halle in the late founding period of the German Empire in 1885, first made a name for himself as an actor in Munich , especially at the Bavarian State Theater .

As the successor to Georg Altmann , who was dismissed on March 22, 1933 as acting director of the Städtische Bühnen in Hanover, Pape was first appointed Hanoverian theater director, and in the following year 1934 he was appointed artistic director. In 1943 he was retired.
