The European route 46 (abbreviation: E 46 ) is a European route that extends in a west-east direction through France and Belgium . It runs from Cherbourg to Liège .

Cherbourg-Octeville - Caen - Rouen - Reims - Charleville-Mézières - Liège In Normandy , the European route from Cherbourg to Caen follows the course of the N 13. From there, the European route is a motorway ( A13 ). From Rouen the route through Picardy is identical to the RN 31. From Reims, the route continues on the A34 or A203 towards the Belgian border. From Sedan the route is again a national road (N43 or N 58). In Belgium the route then leads on the N89 to Champlon . To Marche-en-Famenne the track is then equal to the N4. From then on it follows the N63 to Liège.
