The road follows the (toll) Autoroute A7 (Autoroute du Soleil) from the junction of the Autoroute A9 (Languedocienne), on which the European route 7 , which runs north on the A7, continues towards the Spanish border. The A7 runs east of Avignon , then follows the Durance as far as Cavaillon , passes Salon-de-Provence , behind which it joins the European route 80 coming from Arles ( Autoroute 54 ) to the junction at Coudoux , then runs east of the Étang de Berre via Vitrolles , becomes toll-free here and finally reaches its end in Marseille, merging in the last section with the European route 712 .
