The European route 19 (E 19) is a European route that connects Amsterdam and Paris . It is an important north-south connection that is heavily frequented by Dutch and Belgian tourists in summer.

In the Netherlands , the E 19 starts in Amsterdam on the A4 to run via Leiden to The Hague , where it changes to the A13 to run from Delft and Rotterdam . There it goes on the Kleinpolderplein on the A20 and on the Terbregseplein on the A16 . Through the Drecht tunnel it goes to Dordrecht , over the Moerdijkbruggen , through Breda, past the Mastbos forest and over the border town Hazeldonk to Belgium .

In Belgium, the E 19 runs on the A1 to the Ring van Antwerpen and from Antwerp to the Brusselse Ring . The route then runs to France via the A7 .

In France, the E 19 runs first on the A2 in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region . In Valenciennes it serves as a ring with the A23 motorway to Lille . At the junction from Graincourt-lès-Havrincourt near Cambrai , the E 19 joins the Autoroute des Anglais (Engländerautobahn) E 17. It then meets the E15 European route at the Combles junction .

It now runs on the Autoroute du Nord (north motorway) A1 through Picardy to Paris . The European roads E 15 and E 19 merge into one another. The Ablaincourt-Pressoir junction connects the E 19 to the E 44. Then comes Compiègne before reaching the Île-de-France region .

She comes to the agglomeration of Paris and meets the Francilienne (Franzinselerin) A104 in the Gonesse node . Shortly thereafter, the E 15 and E 19 separate at the Garonor junction . The junction of la Courneuve connects them to the A86. The E 19 ends at the Porte de la Chapelle (the gate of la Chapelle) , where it is connected to the Boulevard périphérique (ring) and the Rue de la Chapelle (street of La Chapelle) .

This European road used to be number 10 (E 10). Some names are derived from this, such as the E10 lake in Brasschaat / Schoten .
