The European route 91 (short: E 91 ) crosses Turkey from Toprakkale to Antakya in a southerly direction through the Anatolian part of Turkey and finally on to the Syrian border at Yayladağı . It initially follows the O-53 , which was developed as a motorway, and was only added to the network as an extension in 2005 at the suggestion of Turkey.

The European route 91 leads starting from Toprakkale, where it leaves from the European route 90 , over the O-53 to İskenderun . From there, continue on the D-817 to Topboğazi . There the Europastraße 98 branches off to the southeast. Via the D-825 the road reaches Antakya and finally Yayladağı. A few kilometers west of the city, the European route ends at the Turkish-Syrian border.
The European route 91 crosses the Turkish provinces of Osmaniye and Hatay .
