course
From Nivelles the E 420 branches off from the E 19 and then leads first to the Charleroi motorway ring . While it ran up to this point on the A54 motorway , it then changes to National Road 5, which then crosses the province of Namur . She passes the parishes of Walcourt and Philippeville . In the south of the municipality of Couvin in the district of Brûly, the Belgian-French border is crossed. On the Rocroi bypass , the D985, the route continues south. In the Ardennes, the E 44 is then crossed at Tremblois-lès-Rocroi . At Rethel , the E 420 joins the E 46 on the A34 and follows it to Reims.
