Tremblois-lès-Rocroi is a French commune with 156 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the arrondissement Charleville-Mézières , the canton Rocroi and the municipality association Vallées et Plateau d'Ardenne . With an area of 1.64 km², it is the smallest municipality in the canton of Rocroi and the third smallest in the Ardennes department.
geography
The municipality is located in the Ardennes Regional Nature Park, founded in 2011 . Tremblois-lès-Rocroi is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sévigny-la-Forêt in the north, Le Châtelet-sur-Sormonne in the east, Laval-Morency in the south and southwest and Chilly in the west.
history
During the Franco-Spanish War (1635-1659) , the place was burned down in the Battle of Rocroi on May 19, 1643 .
