It belongs to the arrondissement Charleville-Mézières , the canton Rocroi (until 2015: canton Renwez ) and the municipality association Ardennes Thiérache .

Ham-les-Moines is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lonny in the north, Cliron in the northeast, Haudrecy in the southeast, Saint-Marcel in the south, Remilly-les-Pothées in the southwest and Sormonne in the northwest.
