Gespunsart is a French commune with 1,057 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region . It belongs to the arrondissement Charleville-Mézières and the canton Villers-Semeuse (until 2015: canton Nouzonville ).
geography
Gespunsart is about ten kilometers northeast of Charleville-Mézières on the Belgian border. Gespunsart is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Thilay in the north and northwest, Les Hautes-Rives in the north, Vresse-sur-Semoise in the east (Belgium), Vrigne-aux-Bois with Bosseval-et-Briancourt in the south and southeast, Gernelle in the south and Southwest, La Grandville to the southwest and Neufmanil to the west and northwest.
