The eastern municipal boundary runs along the Meuse . Chalandry-Elaire is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Nouvion-sur-Meuse in the east, Flize in the southeast, Étrépigny in the southwest, Saint-Marceau in the west, Les Ayvelles in the north and the municipality of Lumes in the canton of Villers-Semeuse in the northeast.
