Vivier-au-Court is a French commune with 2954 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region . It is located ten kilometers east of Charleville-Mézières and west of Sedan . Until the 1970s, the place was a center of the foundry industry in north-eastern France. La Fonte Ardennaise, founded in 1927, still exists today with an annual turnover of 83 million euros.
