Mairie Jandun

Jandun is a French commune with 285 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Charleville-Mézières and to the municipal association Crêtes Préardennaises, founded in 1995 . The inhabitants are called Jandunois .

geography

Jandun is located on the southern foothills of the Ardennes on the upper Vence , about 17 kilometers southwest of Charleville-Mézières and about 30 kilometers west-southwest of Sedan . The districts of Les Poteries and Ferme aux Corbeaux belong to the municipality . Jandun is surrounded by the neighboring communities Thin-le-Moutier , Fagnon and Gruyères in the north, Barbaise in the east, Raillicourt in the south-east, Villers-le-Tourneur and Neuvizy in the south and Launois-sur-Vence in the west.

Economy and Infrastructure

Jandun is partly rural. There are 13 farms in the municipality (growing grain and vegetables, breeding horses and cattle).

The D3 from Launois-sur-Vence to Charleville-Mézières and the D35 from Launois-sur-Vence to Poix-Terron run through the municipality of Jandun . In Poix-Terron, six kilometers away, there is a connection to the A34 Autoroute ( Reims - Sedan ). The nearest train station on the Soissons – Givet line is also located here .
