Chilly is a French commune with 143 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Charleville-Mézières , the canton Rocroi and the Ardennes Thiérache municipal association .

geography

The municipality is located in the Ardennes Regional Nature Park, founded in 2011 . Chilly is surrounded by the neighboring communities Sévigny-la-Forêt in the north, Tremblois-lès-Rocroi in the east, Laval-Morency in the east and southeast, Blombay in the southwest and Étalle in the west.

Attractions

The 12th century Romanesque church of Saint-Nicaise was partially fortified in the 16th century with the construction of a large square tower. The tower was destroyed during the First World War .
