history

The settlement of the place goes back to the time of the Romans . During the First World War , the place was occupied by German troops on August 27, 1914. Fierce fighting subsequently took place south of the village, in front of the village of La Fosse à l'Eau .

Personalities

The revolutionary politician Jean-Nicolas Pache (1746–1823) lived and died in Thin-le-Moutier . His house has been preserved and is one of the local attractions.
