The municipality is located in the Ardennes Regional Nature Park, founded in 2011 . Girondelle is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Flaignes-Havys in the east and southeast, Estrebay in the south, Champlin in the southwest and the municipalities of Auvillers-les-Forges in the canton of Rocroi in the west, Éteignières in the north and Maubert-Fontaine in the northeast.
