The Istros Bay (English; Bulgarian Залив Истрос Saliw Istros ) is a 1.4 km long and 3.2 km wide bay on the east coast of Clarence Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is north of Lebed Point and south of Sugarloaf Island . The Highton Glacier flows into it .
British scientists mapped it in 1972 and 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2014 after an ancient name for the lower section of the Danube .
