The Europastraße 51 ( E 51 ) extends in a north-south direction through the Federal Republic of Germany . Its course is largely identical to the A 9 .

The E 51 begins at the Berliner Dreieck radio tower between A 115 and A 100 . It then leads on the A 115 in a south-westerly direction Berliner Ring ( triangle Nuthetal ) with the A 10 . The E 51 then shares a short section of the route with European routes 30 and 55 . At the Potsdam motorway triangle , the E 51 will then merge with the A 9. In a southerly direction, the following locations are now touched:

• Dessau-Rosslau
• Halle (Saale)
  • From the Schkeuditzer Kreuz , the route is shared with Europastraße 49
• Leipzig
  • At the Hermsdorfer Kreuz (direction Gera , A 4 ) the route of the Europastraße 40 is passed
• Schleiz
  • Via the federal highway 282 , the European route 49 leaves the joint route
• court
  • At the Bayerisches Vogtland starts European Route 441
• Bayreuth .

At the intersection Nuremberg crossing European route E45 and European route E56 . Europastraße 51 ends here.
