E 262 - Lithuania / Latvia border crossing

The European route 262 (short: E 262 ) is a north-south road connection that leads from Lithuania via Latvia to Russia .

The E 262 (light green on the map) begins in the Lithuanian city of Kaunas and branches off the E 85 here. It then runs in a north-easterly direction on the Magistralinis kelias A6 and crosses the E 272 at Ukmergė . At Zarasai (Lithuania) and Medumi (Latvia) the Latvian-Lithuanian border is crossed. In Latvia, the E 262 follows the Autoceļš A13 . It reaches Dünaburg . At Rēzekne the E 262 crosses the European route 22 . Behind Kārsava , the E 262 crosses the Latvian-Russian border and finally reaches the E 95 (also the federal highway R23 , formerly M20) at Ostrow in Russia on the regional trunk road of Pskov Oblast 58K-306 (formerly A116) past Pytalowo .
