The European route 551 (E 551 for short) runs around 110 km through the Czech Republic from Budweis to Humpolec . The European route partly follows the course of the Nežárka .

The road initially leads from Budweis on the same route as the E 49 via Lišov to Třeboň , where the E 49 leaves the route in an easterly direction. Continuing on Rychlostní silnice 34, the European route then reaches Stráž nad Nežárkou and Jindřichův Hradec . The E 551 continues past Kamenice nad Lipou to Pelhřimov and finally to the D1 at Humpolec. The E 551 ends here.

The E 551 has not been developed as a motorway.
