The European route 72 (E 72) is a European route that extends through France in a north-west-south-east direction . It begins in Bordeaux on the E 70 and ends in Toulouse , where it meets the E 80 together with the E 09 .

The route corresponds to the A 62. It leads past Langon , where the A 65 branches off to the southeast . Along the course of the Garonne river, the route crosses Aquitaine and passes Agen and Montauban . South of Montauban, the European route 09 meets the A 20 and the E 72.
