The European route 391 ( E 391 ) is a European route in Russia and Ukraine , which extends in an east-west direction and is about 160 km long.
It begins at Trosna in the Russian Oblast , where the A142 branches off from the M2 . From there it runs southwest along the A142, passing the towns of Schelesnogorsk and Dmitrijew-Lgowski , until it finally joins the M3 at Chomutowka . Shortly afterwards it crosses the Ukrainian border and runs from now on as M 02 to the city of Hluchiw .
The European route 391 thus connects the European routes E 101 and E 105, which run parallel to each other for long stretches, and represents an alternative route to the busy Moscow – Kiev route.
