The European route 751 (short: E 751 ) is a European route that connects the Istrian peninsula with Slovenia . The three branches of the E 751 form the so-called Istrian Ypsilon .
course
The E 751 starts west of Rijeka at the Matulji / Opatija junction of the A7 ( E 61 ) and A8 . It then runs as the A 8 in a westerly direction, initially in a tunnel under the Učka massif, past Lupoglav and Cerovlje . At Kanfanar it meets the A9 in a motorway triangle .
The southern branch of the E 751 leads to Pula , while the northern branch leads via Višnjan , Mirna and Umag to the Croatian-Slovenian border. There the E 751 stays on the G 11, which finally reaches Koper on the Adriatic Sea via Dragonja . The E 751 is signposted to the Italian border.
history
Before the A8 and A9 in Croatia were expanded, the E 751 followed the D 66 coastal road along the Istrian coast.
