The European route 24 (short form: E 24 ) runs in a west-east direction through central England from Birmingham via Northampton to Cambridge and finally to Ipswich in Suffolk . The European route 24 is a complementary route from the European route 5 , which leads past Birmingham to the European route 30 , which leads from Ipswich to the coast and finally on the continent to remote parts of Russia.
Until Rugby , the Europastraße follows the course of the M6 Motorway , and then shares the route with the M1 Motorway . At Northampton the European route 13 is crossed. In an easterly direction, Cambridge and finally Ipswich via Bury St Edmunds are reached.
