Course of the road

The European route 461 , E 461 for short, is a north-south European route in Austria and the Czech Republic . It runs from the Kaisermühlen node in Vienna via Wolkersdorf , Poysdorf , Drasenhofen , Mikulov , Pohořelice and Brünn to Svitavy , where it ends at the intersection with European route 442 .

Since the E 461 is the most important connection between Vienna and Brno, the gap between the northern A 5 and Dálnice 52 autobahns between Poysdorf and Pohořelice is currently being planned.

Description of the process

Austria

In Austria, the E 461 begins at the Kaisermühlen junction ( A 22 / A 23 ) and takes you via the A 23 south-east bypass to Hirschstetten and on via the S 2 expressway to Süßenbrunn in Vienna . It then runs over the Vienna outer ring expressway S 1 to the Eibesbrunn junction and further on the north motorway A 5 to Poysdorf and the Brünner Strasse B 7 to the Drasenhofen bypass and finally over the Brünner Strasse B 7 to the Drasenhofen border crossing.

Czech Republic

On the Czech side, it will continue as Silnice I / 52 (1st class road / no. 52) to Pohořelice and as Dálnice 52 (until 2015 Rychlostní silnice 52) to Brno. In the Brno area, the E 461 runs along Dálnice 1 (Autobahn 1), Silnice I / 23 , Silnice I / 42 and Silnice II / 640. Finally, it leads over the Silnice I / 43 from Brno to Svitavy.
