The European route 22 (abbreviation: E 22 ) is a European route that extends in a west-east direction, especially through Northern and Eastern Europe . It starts in Holyhead in Wales and ends in Ishim in Russia , making it one of the longest European roads. Many European roads were extended to Asia after 2000. For the E 22, this happened on June 24, 2002.
