The European route E29 (abbreviation: E 29) is a 283 km long European route , the south of Cologne starts and through the Eifel on Luxembourg to the French border south of Saarbrücken leads.

The E 29 starts at the Bliesheim motorway junction not far from Weilerswist and follows the federal motorway 1 past Euskirchen for around 38 km in a southerly direction to the provisional end of the motorway at Blankenheim / Tondorf . From there it runs south-west on federal highway 51 and passes Blankenheim, Dahlem , Stadtkyll and Prüm and after 45 km meets the A 60 at the Prüm junction , which it follows for 20 km south to the Bitburg junction . From there it runs again for nine kilometers on the B 51 to the B 257 , which it follows for 19 km to the Echternacherbrück border crossing . In Luxembourg it meets the N 11, on which it runs 28 km to the Waldhaff junction and joins the A 7 , which it follows for almost two kilometers to the south. From the triangle Kirchberg it follows south-east of Luxembourg (city) for ten kilometers of A 1 and meets the south on the cross Gasperich on the A3 . After nine kilometers, it meets the A 13 at the Bettembourg junction , on which it runs for 22 km along the French border to the Schengen / Perl border crossing , where it changes back to the A 8 on German soil . It follows this 37 km to the Saarlouis triangle and then runs 32 km on the A 620 to the Saarbrücken -Güdingen exit , where it meets the B 51 again and follows it for twelve kilometers to the border with France at Rilchingen-Hanweiler and finally ends at Sarreguemines (Saargemünd).
