Overall length: 180 km

States :

The European route 951 (short: E 951 ) runs from north to south and runs exclusively through Greece through the regions of Epirus and western Greece from south of Ioannina at the junction with the A 2 ( E 90 ) towards Arta along the Ambracian Gulf . From Amfilochia it is the same route as the European roads 55 and 952 to Agrinio , where the E 952 branches off to the east and ends in Mesolongi on the Gulf of Patras .

The expansion standard does not yet always correspond to the requirements of the AGR (European Agreement On Main International Traffic Arteries), the legal basis of the European road network.

The route is currently under construction as a motorway from Ioannina to Gorgomylos and from the regional border between Epirus and western Greece to Amvrakia . There the E 951 still runs on the national road 5 , otherwise it has been developed as the A 5 .
