The European route 263 (short: E 263 ) is one of the most important highways of the Estonian national road network. As the main road Põhimaantee 2, it crosses the country diagonally from the capital Tallinn via Paide , Tartu and Võru to the extreme southeast. It joins Europastraße 77 and is 282 km long. In Tallinn, the street begins in Viru Väljak square and leads out of the city as Tartu maantee ( Tartu main street ).
