Imavere (German: Immafer ) was a rural community in the Estonian district of Järva with an area of 139 km². It had 1020 inhabitants (2010). Imavere is about 30 km from Paide .
In addition to the main town Imavere (523 inhabitants), the municipality also included the villages of Eistvere, Hermani, Järavere, Jalametsa, Käsukonna, Kiigevere, Laimetsa, Pällastvere, Puiatu, Taadikvere, Tammeküla and Võrevere.
The Estonian Dairy Museum, which has been open to visitors since 2001, is well worth a visit. It is also worth visiting the ruins of the Eistvere manor house, built in 1588 (German: Eigstfer ) and the 6.6 hectare park. The Austrian writer Hermynia zur Mühlen lived there from 1908 to 1914 .
