Adavere
Adavere (German Addafer ) is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the Estonian district of Jõgeva . It belongs to the rural municipality of Põltsamaa . Adavere has 669 inhabitants (as of 2006).

Adavere is located on the highway between Tallinn and Tartu , about seven kilometers from the town of Põltsamaa . Adavere is the geographic center of mainland Estonia.

The village was first mentioned in 1682.
Culture and sights
Today Adavere is also known for its windmill, which houses a restaurant.
The massive Baltic German manor house of Adavere has been documented since the 17th century. The current mansion was built on the older foundations in 1892/93. Today there is a school and a kindergarten in the building. The geometrically planned park was laid out in 1740 and was considered one of the most beautiful in Estonia at the time. It was significantly redesigned in the 19th century.
