Pülümür , also Pılemoriye , is a city and administrative seat ( Merkez ) of the district of the same name ( İlçe ) in the Turkish province of Tunceli . The district lies in the northeast of the province and borders the provinces of Erzincan in the north and Bingöl in the southeast. Internally, he has the districts of Ovacık , Nazımiye and the central district of Tunceli as neighbors.
The city of Pülümür is located about 66 kilometers by road (as the crow flies: 52 km) northeast of the provincial capital Tunceli . Both are connected by the D885 trunk road, which crosses the district in a north-south direction.
The district consists of the district town (39% of the district's population) and 49 villages. These have an average population of 47 residents per village, which is the lowest of all eight districts in the province. Doğanpınar is the only village with more than 200 inhabitants. 17 of the villages have more than 47 inhabitants, which is the average. The population density is around 2.6 inh. Per km², which is the lowest value in the province.
Zazaisch is mainly Kurmanji the most commonly spoken language of the district, the northern of the three dialects (Nordzazaki) predominates.
Chrome , salt and marble are mined in Pülümür .

Christian Ude , Lord Mayor of the City of Munich (as of September 2013), was made an honorary citizen of Pülümür in 2005. The community center of Pülümür is named after him.
