Korkmaz Arslan
Korkmaz Arslan (born August 2, 1983 in Pülümür , Turkey ) is a German-Turkish actor and producer.
Life
The son of a Zaza family was born in 1983 in Pülümür / Turkey. Arslan completed his acting training at the Academy for Performing Arts in Ulm in 2011. He has been married since November 2018.
Career
Already during his acting training Arslan played the role of interpreter in the film Mogadishu by director Roland Suso Richter . When he graduated from the Academy for Performing Arts in Ulm in 2011, he played the role of bodyguard in the film " Die Vierte Macht " alongside Moritz Bleibtreu and Mark Ivanir . In the short film "Bahar in Wonderland" by Behrooz Karamizade, Arslan played the male lead and in 2013 received the "Sepanta Award" for Best Actor (USA) for his outstanding performance. In 2013 he played alongside Golshifteh Farahani in the main male role in the film " My Sweet Pepper Land " by Huner Saleem, which was nominated at the Cannes Film Festival . In the last part of the trilogy Love, Death and the Devil by Fatih Akin , Arslan played the Turkish commandant in the feature film The Cut . Furthermore, Arslan is always active in various theater projects across Germany.
