The European route 961 is a 101 km long European route of the intermediate network, which, running from north to south, connects the cities of Tripoli and Gythio via Sparta on the Peloponnese peninsula in Greece .

The road branches off at the exit Tripoli-south from the European route E65 ( Aftokinitodromos 7 , Ανατολική Οδός Πελοποννήσου) from, followed to its end at the Laconic Gulf of National Road 39 (Εθνική Οδός 39) and crosses in Sparta of Pylos coming National Road 82 ( Εθνική Οδός 82) and at Krokees the national road 86 (Εθνική Οδός 86).
