The European route 96 (short: E 96 ) crosses Turkey in a west-east direction through the Anatolian part of Turkey starting in Izmir to Sivrihisar . The Europastraße is not developed as a motorway.

The European route 96 leads from Izmir , where it leaves from the European route 87 , via the D 300 to Turgutlu through the Gediz valley and Uşak over the course of the Banaz Çayı to Afyonkarahisar . From there, the E 96 runs north over the D260 past Emirdağ and finally reaches Sivrihisar , where it meets the E90 .
The European route 96 crosses the Turkish provinces of Izmir , Manisa , Uşak , Afyonkarahisar and Eskişehir .
