Kula is a city and a district of Turkey in the Manisa Province . In 2008, 24,076 people lived in the city and 52,986 in the district. The area of Kula is known for the rock formations of volcanic origin called Yanıkyöre , which is why the area is also called the Cappadocia of the Aegean region by some visitors .
Furthermore, the mineral water producer Kula Maden Suyu , founded in 1969, is located in Kula .
