Gölmarmara is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Manisa . The city is located about 45 kilometers northeast of the provincial capital Manisa .

The district is located in the center of the province. It borders in the southeast on Salihli , in the southwest on Ahmetli , in the west on Saruhanlı and in the north on Akhisar and Gördes . The D555 road from Ahmetli to Akhisar runs through the district town . Lake Marmara Gölü is located in the south of the district .
