The Banaz Çayı is a right tributary of the Great Meander ( Büyük Menderes ) in western Turkey . Occasionally it is seen as the right source river of the Great Meander.

The Banaz Çayı rises on the southern slopes of Murat Dağı . From there it flows in a predominantly south-southwest direction through the province of Uşak . He passes the small town of Banaz . The Banaz Çayı finally flows into the reservoir of the Adıgüzel Dam . The river has a length of 159 km. In the lower reaches it cuts through the plateau in a deep ravine. There the ancient Cilandiras Bridge ( ) spans the river - 12 km north of the city of Karahallı .
