Karahallı is a city in the Turkish province of Uşak and the capital of the district of the same name. The city is located 65 km south of the provincial capital Uşak . According to the city seal, the place received the status of a municipality ( Belediye ) in 1907 .

district

The district is located in the southeast of the province. It borders in the north on the district of Sivaslı and the central district (Merkez) Uşak and in the west on the district of Ulubey . The province of Denizli forms the border in the south and west . Karahalli has the smallest population and the smallest area of ​​all six counties in the province, the population density (56.3) is below that of the entire province (77.2 inh. Per km²). The proportion of the urban population is 31.69 percent.

The district was formed in 1953 and, in addition to the district town, consists of 13 villages ( Köy ) with an average of 352 residents. The population numbers range from 766 ( Külköy ) to 78. Five of the villages have more than the average (= 352) inhabitants. The former villages of Buğdaylı (602) and Karbasan (2017: 1,310 inhabitants) have been the mahall of the district town since 2018.
