The European route 86 (short: E 86 ) is a European route running from west to east and leads from Tirana in Albania via Elbasan , Librazhd , Pogradec , Korça and from Krystallopigi in Greece via Florina , Vevi or Meliti , Edessa , Skydra , Giannitsa and Chalkidona to Gefyra in Greece, where it merges into European route 75 and European route 90 . East of Florina, the E 86 is crossed by the European route 65 . The European route is around 470 km long.
The European road crosses the Albanian Qark Tirana , Elbasan , Korça and crosses the Greek Macedonia (Western and Central Macedonia). The course largely corresponds to National Road 3 in Albania and largely to National Road 2 and National Road 3 in Greece. The expansion standard does not always meet the requirements of the AGR (European Agreement On Main International Traffic Arteries), the legal basis of the European road network.
