The European route 88 (short: E 88 ) crosses Turkey from Ankara in an easterly direction through the Anatolian part of Turkey to the north of Refahiye . As a motorway, the European route has not been developed and was only added to the network as an extension in 2005 at the suggestion of Turkey.

The European route 88 leads starting from Ankara , where it leaves from the European routes 89 and 90 , via the D 200 to Kırıkkale and then to Yozgat . The next station is Sivas , from where the road north of Refahiye ultimately joins the D 100 . There the E88 meets the E80 .
The European route 88 crosses the Turkish provinces of Ankara , Kırıkkale , Yozgat , Sivas and Erzincan .
