Kırıkkale is a province of Turkey . Its capital is the eponymous Kırıkkale .

The province has 286,602 inhabitants (as of the end of 2018) on an area of ​​4,791 km². It borders on the provinces of Ankara , Çorum , Çankırı , Yozgat and Kırşehir . The province was re-established in 1989 by Law No. 3578. It is divided into nine rural districts with eleven municipalities (cities) and 185 villages.
