Bahşılı is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Kırıkkale . The city is located about 5 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital Kırıkkale . The D753 road from Kırıkkale to Karakeçili runs through the village from north to south . The river Kızılırmak forms the border to Keskin in the east, where it is dammed up to Kapulukaya Barajı . In the southwest lies the 1555 meter high Küre Dağı mountain . Bahşılı received the status of a Belediye in 1990 .
The district created in 1990 is located in the southwest of the province. It borders Yahşihan County to the north, the Central County to the northeast, Keskin to the east, Karakeçili to the south and Ankara Province to the west . The district town is the only town in the district and is home to 77% of the district's population. The district also includes five villages, the largest of which ( Karaahmetli ) has 845 inhabitants.
