Delice is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Kırıkkale . The city is located about 45 kilometers east of the provincial capital Kırıkkale . An earlier name of the place was Karabekir . Delice is the largest city in the district and claims about a quarter of the district's population.

The district is located in the northeast of the province. It borders Keskin County in the south, Balışeyh in the west, Sulakyurt in the northwest and the Çorum and Yozgat provinces in the east . The European route 88 , which leads from Ankara to Sivas , crosses the district south of Delice, from which the D-190 branches off to Sungurlu . A TCDD railway line , which connects Kırıkkale with Kayseri , runs roughly parallel to the E-88 . The district town lies on the Delice Çayı River , which flows further north into the Kızılırmak . From the south comes the Kılıçözü Çayı , which flows into the Delice Çayı south of the main town. The highest peaks are the Yücekaya Tepesi (1100 m), the Sarı Tepe (1291 m) and the Bozburun Tepesi (1374 m) in the west of the district, which belong to the foothills of the Karagüney Dağı Mountains . The 34th degree of longitude and the 40th degree of latitude meet in the district.

The district was newly created in 1990 and, in addition to the district town ( Merkez ), also houses the town of Çerikli, located a little further south, with 2,564 inhabitants. An average of 124 people live in each of the 40 villages ( Köy ), of which the largest Büyükafşar has 386 inhabitants.
