Osmaniye is a province of Turkey . It is located in the north of the Mediterranean region and its capital is the Osmaniye of the same name .

The province has 534,415 inhabitants (as of the end of 2018) on an area of ​​3,321 km². It borders the provinces of Hatay , Gaziantep , Adana and Kahramanmaraş .

In the Ottoman Empire , Osmaniye had the rank of sanjak . With the establishment of Turkey in 1923, Osmaniye became a province. On June 1, 1933, the province was downgraded to a county and joined the Adana Province. Osmaniye was restored as a province by Law No. 4200 of October 24, 1996. In the years 1910 to 1932, Cebelibereket was the name of the administrative unit.
