Hasanbeyli is a district town and capital of the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Osmaniye . Hasanbeyli is in the east of the province and borders the Gaziantep province . The district town unites around 53 percent of the district's population.

The district is very sparsely populated and, in addition to the district town, which was raised to the rank of municipality ( Belediye ) in 1973, only has six villages ( Köy , plural Köyler ), of which the largest ( Kalecik ) has 784 inhabitants. An average of 417 people live in each village, which is the lowest average in the province. In 1996 the Osmaniye Province was split off from the Adana Province and the Hasanbeyli District was re-established.
