Bahçe ( Turkish for garden ) is a city and district in the Turkish province of Osmaniye . Bahçe is in the east of the province and borders the provinces of Gaziantep and Kahramanmaraş . The city is the only one in the district and claims 68% of the district's population.
The district of the same name consists of the district town ( Merkez ) and 15 villages in the district, two of which have over 1,000 inhabitants: Bekdemir (1,421) and Yukarıkardere (1,104). On average, 475 people live in each of these 15 villages. The terrain is mountainous and unsuitable for agriculture. The climate corresponds to the Mediterranean climate.
