Karabük is a province of Turkey . Their capital is the Karabük of the same name .

The province has 248,014 inhabitants (as of the end of 2018) on an area of ​​4,142 km². It borders the provinces of Bolu , Ankara , Kastamonu , Bartın , Çankırı and Zonguldak .

Karabük Province was formed on June 6, 1995 (Law No. 550) from two counties (Ovacık and Eskipazar) of Çankırı Province and four counties (Eflani, Karabük, Safranbolu and Yenice) of Zonguldak Province as the 78th province of Turkey.

The relief of the province is hilly. Greater levels do not exist. The valleys are narrow. The most important rivers are Filyos , Araç , Soğanlı and Eskipazar . The highest peaks are called Keltepe (2000 m), Hodulca Dağı (1700 m), Tepe Dağ (1043 m), Kıraç Tepesi (1400 m), Sarıçiçek Tepesi (1750 m) and Keçikıran Tepesi (1400 m).
