The Araç Çayı is the right source river of the Filyos Çayı in northern Turkey .

The Araç Çayı rises in the province of Kastamonu on the northern slopes of the Ilgaz Dağları mountain range . It initially flows as Ilgaz Çayı in a northerly direction through the İhsangazi district . After passing the district town of the same name, the river turns to the west and reaches the district of Araç and later the town of the same name. The river is now called Araç Çayı . The D030 trunk road follows the course of the river. The Araç Çayı flows past the village of İğdir and later crosses the provincial border to Karabük . In the provincial capital Karabük , the Araç Çayı meets the Soğanlı Çayı , which flows from the south, and unites with it to form Filyos Çayı ( Yenice Irmağı ). The Araç Çayı has a length of approx. 100 km.
