Yenice is a small Turkish town and the westernmost district of the Karabük Province in the Turkish Black Sea region. The city has almost 10,000 inhabitants and is located in the Yenice Irmağı river valley between forested hills on the D-030 road link from Karabük to Zonguldak on the Black Sea. It is divided into ten mahalle (districts). Most of the houses are lined up on both sides of the main street, which is generously divided by a green strip. A four-lane northern bypass road was almost completed at the end of 2011.
The center is formed by the large mosque with a domed roof and the adjacent bus stop. Another smaller mosque with a hipped roof stands a little above it. There is a sawmill in the city, this and other companies in the area process the logs from the mountains.
The district was created in 1987, is located in the west of the province and borders the Zonguldak and Bolu provinces . The second city ( belde ) in the district is Yortan (2018: 1,989 inhabitants), otherwise there are 34 villages ( köy ), of which Değirmenyanı is the largest with 698 inhabitants. .
