From Iași it branches off towards the northeast to the Romanian-Moldovan border near Sculeni , using the Romanian drum național 24 . Via Făleşti , the E583 then reaches Bălți with the Moldovan R 16. Here it follows the drum public național M14 as far as Edineț . The Moldovan-Ukrainian border is reached via the R 8. From here the course of the M 21 follows . The cities Mohyliw-Podilskyj and Vinnytsia are passed and the E 50 is crossed at Vinnytsia. In a northerly direction, the E 583 finally reaches Zhytomyr via Berdychiv at the motorway triangle with the E 40 .
